WHAT TO GET WITH YOU:

An open mind to look at the known from a whole new place.

Writing material and drinking water.

 An essay that your child has written – the best and the worst sample. You will be

taught how to analyze and correct the mistakes and how to help the child overcome

the problem

 Learning to evaluate your child’s work objectively so that the child sees the need to

improve

 An atlas – preferably Oxford School Atlas which gives the list of places in the world

with the longitudes and latitudes marked.

 A box of crayons (12 colours) and a box of colour pencils (12 colours).

QUOTES THAT WILL BE DISCUSSED:

 It (a holiday) is an excellent opportunity to do some interesting work, to learn

something new or develop some weak point in their nature or their studies. It is an

excellent opportunity to choose some occupation freely and thus discover the true

capacities of their being.

 One cannot abandon (an idea, habit, etc.) unless one replaces them by something

superior, which is not so easy.

 I would ask teachers to think with ideas instead of with words, later instead of

thinking with ideas to think with experiences. When one can do that, one can

really begin to understand. When you think with words, you can express what you

think with those words only. To think with ideas is to be able to put the same idea

in many kinds of words. The words can also be of different languages, if you

happen to know more than one language. This is the first, the most elementary

thing about thinking with ideas. When you think with experience, you go much

deeper and you can express the same experience with many kinds of ideas. Then

thought can make this form or that form in any language and through all of them

the essential realization will remain unchanged.

 The true wisdom is to be ready to learn from whatever source the knowledge can

come. We can learn things from a flower, an animal, a child, if we are eager to

know always more, because there is only ONE TEACHER in this world - the

Supreme Lord, and He manifests through everything.
